If you have children, you know that there are a few moments in life that you will always remember. This includes the first time that they took a step, the first time that they said mom or dad, and the first time they smiled at you.
As far as a baby’s smile is concerned, it’s one of the most special moments you will ever have in life. It’s something that will melt your heart and it’s a feeling that you can only get once in life.
Sometimes, a baby’s first smile does more than melt the heart of the parent, it melts the hearts of millions of people online. That is the case with Baby H, a young baby who was named such because of adoption protocols.
Of course, many children have a smile on their faces when they have gas as a youngster, but when baby H was eight months old, she was going to smile for the first time.
The little girl looked up at her new mom and the entire room lit up as a result. You can hear her mother saying in the video: “Oh, that is the cutest! Can you show me again?”
Of course, the little baby was all too happy to oblige and the toothless grin came once again. Obviously, the baby and mother were connecting on a very personal level.
The toothless grin that you get from your baby is something that doesn’t last very long. It’s something that should be caught on camera because it’s a beautiful moment.
One person who was smitten by the little girl is Stephanie Thompson. She is the director of the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network, and she was in charge of the adoption process for Baby H.
Even though she was taking care of the adoption process, she never met the little baby, but she did get to see her smile. She said: “I walk the journey with the expected parent and the child, so when I have a chance to meet them, it brings it full circle. I can’t explain the joy that it brings to me.”
This little baby is more than a child that needed a home, she is someone that brought a lot of love and joy to her adoptive parents. You can hear that love in the voice of the mother as they interact with each other.
Of course, adoption is not for everyone and if you are considering it, you should prepare yourself for everything that is involved. When it does happen, however, you will have a moment that you never forget.
