Elon Musk Gains $70 Billion in Wealth Following Tesla Stock Surge Post-Trump Election Victory

Musk’s New Family Hub: Tech Billionaire Elon Musk Reportedly Buys $35M Luxury Multi-Home Compound for His 11 Kids and Two of Their Mothers to Live Nearby

Reports indicate that Elon Musk purchased two luxury properties in Austin, Texas, worth a combined $35 million. These homes include a 14,400-square-foot villa with Tuscan-inspired architecture, and a neighboring six-bedroom property. Both homes are located close to each other, aligning with Musk’s goal of creating a connected living space for his children and two of their mothers. Musk’s recent Austin property purchases follow his broader move to Texas, where Tesla’s headquarters are now based.

According to insiders, Elon Musk reportedly acquired a luxurious property complex in Austin, Texas, so his children could live near each other, simplifying family visits and encouraging close bonds among his younger children. The complex, valued at around $35 million, is said to feature a grand 14,400-square-foot Tuscan-style mansion and an additional six-bedroom home nearby. This setup would allow Musk to have his family in adjacent properties, a plan aligned with his goal of keeping his family connected despite his busy schedule.

Shivon Zilis, an executive at Musk’s Neuralink, has reportedly already moved into one of the Austin properties. She and Musk share twins, Strider and Azure, born in 2021, and recently welcomed a third child. Musk is reportedly interested in having his other ex-partners and children join the compound as well, to create a close-knit family environment. This arrangement would allow his children to grow up together, with both maternal figures and Musk nearby, aligning with his goal of a shared family space.

Musk’s first wife, Justine Musk, with whom he shares five children, is not expected to move into the Austin compound. Meanwhile, Canadian singer Grimes, mother to three of Musk’s children, is reportedly not residing in the new properties either, as she and Musk are currently involved in a custody dispute regarding their children. This arrangement primarily involves Shivon Zilis, another of Musk’s recent partners and an executive at Neuralink, who has already moved into one of the residences with their children.

Grimes has not moved into the Austin compound, though she and Musk previously shared a 6,900-square-foot home in Austin in the summer of 2023. Tensions reportedly arose when Grimes learned about Musk’s relationship with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. This discovery, along with the fact that Zilis had twins with Musk in 2021 through artificial insemination—allegedly without Grimes’ knowledge—led to friction. Zilis’s twins were born just weeks before Grimes had her daughter with Musk, adding further strain to their relationship.

Musk has been outspoken about his concerns over declining birthrates and has reportedly offered his sperm to multiple acquaintances as part of his personal commitment to increasing the population. Among those he reportedly offered assistance to are Nicole Shanahan, the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

Elon Musk reportedly required the sellers of his Austin properties to sign NDAs before making an offer. He was also willing to pay around 70% above market value, bringing the purchase to about $35 million, to secure this private space for his family.
